Rajah is our 8 year old American Pit Bull Terrier. He was rescued from Harbor Humane Society in West Olive, Michigan when he was 2 and is 19" tall and about 50 pounds. When is isn't participating in his favorite hobby.... sleeping.... you can find him doing therapy work at nursing homes or "flying high" as the biggest dock jumping American Pit Bull Terrier around.
The 2009 dock jumping season is winding down. We just had our end of summer championships at Woods-N-Water Festival in Imlay City, Michigan. He jumped on Saturday to qualify in 1st place for the finals on Sunday with a jump of 23'1". On Sunday, with some tough competition, he finished in 1st place with a jump of 22'1"!! What a way to end the summer!
Also during the year he tied the current UAD Fetch It record with a jump of 20' during the UKC Premier event in Kalamazoo, MI. Check out the video of Rajah participating in Fetch It! below left.
